With door-to-door auto transport, you don't have to go to a terminal to ship your vehicle or accept delivery. The driver will pick your vehicle up at your residence, office, or any other place you designate. (Pick-up and delivery is subject to accessibility and local laws).
A broker facilitates the transport transaction between the shipper and the carrier.
A carrier is the company who actually owns the truck and physically transports the vehicle. Being both a broker and a carrier for over 20 years -- We know both aspects of the auto transport business very well!
The Department of Transportation does not allow auto carriers to transport vehicles containing personal items. In addition to being prohibited extra items may cause the truck to be over the weight regulations, resulting in fines and delays. Your Way Auto Transport and/or the carrier will not be responsible for any personal items left in the vehicle.
Typically, we can designate a driver within 1-2 days. Less-traveled routes could take up to 3 days. Your Way Auto Transport has an impeccable record for quick pick-ups. We do offer a same day pick-up service for those with urgent needs. Please contact our office for a specific price quote.
Yes. The price we originally quote is all inclusive and is guaranteed.
No, a deposit is not charged to start the transport process. Once we have a driver assigned for your vehicle shipment, we will notify you and then we will charge the deposit. If a company is asking you for a deposit up front and it’s non-refundable chances are they’ve quoted significantly lower than most other companies. It’s likely they will not find a carrier to transport and you’ll lose your money. At Your Way Auto Transport we are honest with our customers and truly want to help!
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and Debit Card for payment, which is to be submitted at the time you place your order.
Yes. Your Way Auto Transport regularly ships motorcycles, inoperable vehicles and specializes in shipping unique vehicles, including exotic, specialty, and classic automobiles. Yes. Your car is insured from the time it is picked up until it is delivered. Insurance certificates are provided upon request. Clearly listed on your Shipping Order and Bill of Lading are occurrences not covered.
Yes, you or someone you designate will need to be there to release the vehicle to the driver. When the driver picks up your vehicle, he/she will have what's called a "bill of lading" or "condition report." He/she will do an inspection of your vehicle's exterior and note any damage (dents, scratches, etc.) on the report. At that time you will be required to sign, acknowledging the damage prior to shipping. The driver will have a copy to email or leave with you. It is very important that you receive a copy of this report so be sure to get it before the driver leaves. The same procedure will occur on delivery -- you will inspect your vehicle with the driver to make sure it has not sustained any damage during transport. Once you've inspected your vehicle and found it to be damage-free, the driver will have you sign the report and leave a copy with you. It is important that you do a thorough inspection, as any claims made after you've signed the bill of lading on delivery will not be covered.
It is rare that damage occurs during transport. But, in the event it does, it is very important that you note the damage on the bill of lading. Be certain you obtain a copy of this report as proof of the damage. Have the driver sign acknowledging the damage as well. Please take photos of the damage as soon as you can as we will need these as part of the claims process. Please call Your Way Auto Transport's office immediately to notify us of the damage. If it is after hours, leave a message.
We will attempt to contact you 24 hours prior to delivery so you will have enough time to make arrangements. If you are not available for delivery you may designate a friend/neighbor to accept the vehicle on your behalf. Additional fees may apply if the driver has to deliver at a later date or if we leave it at a local storage terminal.
These are the most frequently asked questions that we answer for people. If we have not covered all of your questions or concerns, please call or e-mail us. We will be happy to assist you!
